Join the Davidson Lands Conservancy on October 11th for the 4th annual ‘Saturday in the Park,’ a fun-filled day at beautiful Fisher Farm park on the east side of Davidson. Featuring nature hikes, kids activities and a bonfire with s’mores, this popular event is capped off with a rare opportunity to spend the night under the stars at the crown jewel of Davidson parks.
“We’ve had a great time at the first 3 Fisher Farm campouts,” said Davidson Lands Conservancy president Rodney Graham, “and we’re looking forward to returning this year. There’s nothing like a cool starry night at Fisher Farm.”
Local naturalists will lead nature hikes, and there will be a scavenger hunt and games for kids. The day winds down with a bonfire as daylight fades into evening.
Tickets to ‘Saturday in the Park’ are available here. Tickets for Davidson residents are $15; non-residents are $20. Ticket fees cover the DLC’s cost of hosting this event. Participants should plan to bring their own food, beverages, and camp gear. The DLC will provide the activities, and Mother Nature will provide the beauty.
