A select group of food trucks, including ones who have never served in the Davidson area before, will join with Summit Coffee for a benefit event on Wednesday, October 22, in the Jackson Street parking lot behind Summit’s 128 S. Main Street location in Davidson. The food truck rally will begin at 6 pm, and will feature live music from Davidson resident and Nashville recording artist Rusty Knox. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Davidson Lands Conservancy.
Lynn Henderson, Davidson Lands Conservancy Board member and the self-proclaimed “Food Truck Queen” of the entire Charlotte area promises “Delicious and unique food choices from the vendors will be available 6:00 – 9:00 PM, and the vendors are excited about bringing their specialty foods to Davidsonians of all ages.” Food trucks that are confirmed as of this writing include Comfort Food on Wheels, Cheese to the Mac, Cuzzo’s Cuisine, The Plated Palette, Street Spice and Ruthies. A total of six or seven food trucks are anticipated.
Rodney Graham, DLC President announced “Everyone is invited to make a meal in the food truck area and hoist a pint of brew, a latte, or a glass of wine at Summit Coffee and the DLC will receive 20% of the purchase of any pint beverage at Summit.”
Live music by Rusty Knox will add to your dining enjoyment in the community’s “Great Main Street Award” winning downtown.
Come out on the 22nd. No admission will be charged. Just bring your appetite for good food, drinks, and great music. Please note that the Jackson Street parking lot is the large lot which is off of Jackson Street, behind the fire station and just down the hill from Summit Coffee.
